Dr Ebrahim Desai, a KwaZulu-Natal native and founder of Desmed Clinics, blends his medical expertise with a passion for research and community care. From his internship at King Edward VIII Hospital to leading COVID-19 efforts in KZN and contributing to clinical trials, his focus remains on improving healthcare for underprivileged communities.
A proud KZN native and Shandong University graduate, Dr Bassa co-founded Desmed Clinics and has worked across RK Khan, Wentworth Hospital, and Synapta Research Centre. Passionate about bringing quality care to underprivileged communities, his career blends clinical excellence with a deep commitment to healthcare access.
A Pietermaritzburg native and University of Pretoria graduate, Dr Fryer’s passion for equitable healthcare led her to rural KZN and later to the Limpopo Clinical Research Initiative. She has contributed to groundbreaking research on COVID-19, Influenza, RSV, HIV, and cardiovascular treatments, driven by her commitment to world-class care and quality data.

Medical Consultation
